The Global Positioning System, originally NAVSTAR GPS, is a satellite-based radionavigation system owned by the United States government and operated by the United States Space Force. A Geographic Information System is a conceptualized framework that provides the ability to capture and analyze spatial and geographic data. GIS applications are computer-based tools, that allow the user to create interactive queries, analyze spatial information output, edit datum presented within maps, and visually share the results of these operations.
