Yesterday morning, one of our correspondents sent us a photograph of the view in front of him. The man is in Greece, precisely in Athens. Thus, we distinctly see a white coat on a Greek peak at the national park, Parnitha. Meanwhile, in the Alps, which SHOULD be covered in the snow at this time of the year, marking the highlight of the winter tourist season, the rain continues to fall up to 2000 m around the 3 valleys. This fact was also brought to our attention by a local contact established in Saint-Martin de Belleville, Les Ménuires Ski Resort. These sources testify through the image, the extraordinary climate change that operates worldwide. Beyond the ecological damage, here we are faced with a real economic problem generated by the new meteorological inconsistency of these spaces, a fortiori generated tourist activity ... Indeed, how does one ski without snow and how does another offer Outdoor services in Greece with snow? This paradox of places really raises the question of what happens next for winter outdoor activities, and later in summer, as regards global warming, which knows no economic rules.

Hier matin, l’un de nos correspondants nous fait parvenir une image instantanée de la vue observée devant lui. L’homme se trouve en Grèce, précisement à Athènes. Ainsi, nous voyons distinctement un manteau blanc sur un pic grec appartenant au parc national, Parnitha . Pendant ce temps, dans les Alpes, qui DEVRAIT, en ce mois de Février, crouler sous la neige marquant ce point culminant de la saison touristique d’hiver, la pluie ne cesse de tomber jusqu’à 2000 m au détour des 3 vallées. Ce fait nous a également été reporté par un contact local établi à Saint-Martin de Belleville, Station de Ski Les Ménuires. Ces informateurs nous témoignent par l’image, l’extraordinaire changement climatique qui opère dans le monde entier. Au-delà des dommages écologiques, nous sommes ici face un vrai problème économique généré par l’inconstance météorologique nouvelle de ces espaces, réduisant a fortiori l’activité touristique… En effet, comment skier sans neige ou comment proposer des services Outdoor en Grèce avec de la neige ? Ce paradoxe des lieux pose réellement la question de la suite pour les activités de plein air d’hiver, et dans un second temps d’été, quant au réchauffement climatique qui ne connait aucune règle économique.
