Sexual abuse in the ski sector, the SIM denounces.
For more than a year now, within the sport sector, we have observed a liberation from the shackles that impose the law of silence on a good number of illegal deviant behaviours. Today, in the valleys, words such as "harassment", "sexual harassment" and even "attempted rape" can be heard. Such situations have been experienced by students who were about to participate in an exam that led to blackmailing from the examiner. Sadly, such deviations have been going on for many years and the recent revelations (and those that continue to be made) are an important, if not fundamental, change in this specific sport sector.
The SIM (Interprofessional Mountain Union), represented by its president Yannick Vallencant, was among the first to denounce these practices, giving out information since February 5th through various medias.
Following the multiplication of testimonies and the severity of the facts, the union also set up a victim assistance cell: "SPORT ECOUTE" (sport listen) telephone: 07 86 78 91 09 / email: sport.ecoute@gmail.com. Track and Flow expresses its greatest support in applying all the measures necessary to stop this kind of behaviour and abuse in the outdoor world and elsewhere!
